I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. There's something special about watching a child grow and learn in a happy environment.
My first professional experience working with children was at a fun zone center. Where I was a part of a team that provided fun and entertaining activities for children. While there I received my degree at Kingsborough Community College in Early Childhood/Childcare Education.
I continued my education at Brooklyn College, where I received a Bachelors in Psychology. While working in group family daycares, centers, and preschools, as an Assistant Provider. Developing skills that promoted a social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative development of children. I learned how to set up classrooms and schedule trips. Created lesson plans and arts and crafts projects. I supervised the implementation of activities.
I took what I've learned and opened Brooklyn Highlights Academy Daycare Inc. It has been one of the most challenging, yet exuberating experience yet. Every day I get the pleasure to work with some of the most talented and curious children in the world. I have the honor to teach them and help quench their thirst for knowledge.
I believe I am making a difference in the world, by nurturing our future thinkers and decision makers. So, for the last 10 years, I developed a safe and evolving environment. One where children academic and special growth matters.
