Here at BHA we proud ourselves on providing a safe and fun environment for our children to have the best learning experience.

 

However, because of COVID-19 we have taken extra precautions following the CDC rules.

 

We asked that every parent familiarize themselves with any additional protocols and to work with us in maintaining a safe environment for all families.

ARRIVAL

  • Upon arrival, we require the staff and students to have their temperature taken, and wash their hands.
  • All staff must wear masks. We encourage children to wear a mask. They must wear washable slippers such as Crocs and have a change of clothes.
  • When children arrive, their parents/guardians must confirm the child does not have a fever, shortness of breath or a cough, and they have to wait for the reading of their child’s temperature. 
  • We ask all parents/guardians to arrive earlier than their initial time to allow for the new procedures to take place.

DURING THE DAY

  • We will practice social distancing by…
    • Assigning each child a group and a teacher that they will stay with throughout the day. 
    • Sitting children 6 feet apart during activities. 
    • Serving meals to each group at different times. 
    • Placing cots in a head to toe position during nap time. 
    • No sharing of items or supplies, such as electric devices, toys, games, or learning aids. (Please note we allow no child to bring toys from home.)
  • We will make staying safe a learning experience for the children by…    
    • Teaching them how to wash their hands often with soap for 20 seconds.
    • Focus on health behaviors such as covπering coughs and sneezes with the elbow. 
  • We will stay vigilant by…
    • Health checks throughout the day. 
    • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces between uses, such as doorknobs, light switches, faucets, phones.

We will continue to monitor the latest developments regarding COVID 19 and will set policies and procedures as needed to keep all children, family and staff safe. We thank the parents in advance for being patient and cooperative during this time.
